The decision to start my own business stemmed from a deep desire to find a balance between my career and raising a family. I had been working in a job that required me to be available at all hours, with endless events and board meetings that often lasted well past 9 pm. This grueling schedule left me feeling burnt out, undervalued, and unappreciated. Not only did it take away from my time with my family, but the consecutive weeks of working without any breaks to rest made it even more challenging.

Furthermore, the biases in the workplace coupled with a lack of diversity or inclusion in leadership only added to my dissatisfaction with my job. All these factors finally pushed me to make the decision to step away and start something of my own.

Starting my own business wasn’t an easy decision, but it was the right one. I wanted to create something that would help others who were in a similar situation to mine. I wanted to offer them the opportunity to break free from the 9-5 grind and build something that was truly theirs. It was a chance to make a difference in the lives of others while also fulfilling my own dreams.

So, I started my company with the aim of helping others who were looking to start their own business. My goal was to provide them with the tools and resources they needed to succeed, while also creating an environment that was supportive, inclusive, and empowering.

In the end, starting my own business was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It’s been a joy to see others succeed and thrive, knowing that I played a small part in helping them achieve their dreams. It’s also been incredibly fulfilling to have something that is truly mine, something that I can be proud of and that allows me to balance my work and family life in a way that works for me.
